X Japan (エックス ジャパン, X Japan?) is a popular Japanese band founded in 1982 by drummer and pianist Yoshiki Hayashi and vocalist Toshimitsu "Toshi" Deyama.[1] Originally named X (エックス), the group achieved its breakthrough success in 1989 with the release of their second album Blue Blood. They started out as a power/speed metal band and later gravitated towards a progressive sound, at all times retaining an emphasis on ballads. After three more albums, X Japan disbanded in 1997. On June 4, 2007 it was confirmed that the band will reunite, with a new single and a tour tentatively scheduled for later this year.[2]

Speed is an infamous female J-Pop group consisting of four members hailing from Okinawa Japan: Hiroko Shimabukuro, Eriko Imai, Takako Uehara, and Hitoe Arakaki. The girls all attended the Okinawa Actors School (OAS) which also counts Namie Amuro, MAX and Da Pump among its alumni members. Speed is officially the biggest selling female group in Jpop history and their sales figures have yet to be broken till this day. Prior to their disbandment, none of their singles released ever sold below the 500,000 mark - a feat. yet to be matched by any other artist.

ZIGGY（ジギー）は、1984年に森重樹一を中心に結成されたロックバンド。ビジュアル系バンドのはしりとも言われる。1984年の結成以来、メンバーの脱退・加入・復帰、活動休止を繰り返し2008年2月に無期限の活動休止を発表した。2008年時のメンバーは森重樹一（ボーカル、リーダー）、松尾宗仁（ギター）、宮脇“JOE”知史（ドラムス）の3人。また、一時期はSNAKE HIP SHAKES（スネイク・ヒップ・シェイクス）と言う名義で活動していたこともある。主な作品に『GLORIA』『STAY GOLD』『Jealousy〜ジェラシー』『STEP BY STEP』など。1999年に脱退した戸城憲夫（ベース）と森重樹一が2004年に再び合流、元SADSの坂下たけとも（ギター）、満園英二（ドラムス）を加え新バンドThe DUST'N'BONEZをスタートさせた。

『花の慶次 -雲のかなたに-』（はなのけいじ くものかなたに）は、隆慶一郎作の歴史小説「一夢庵風流記」を原作とした、原哲夫の歴史漫画。「週刊少年ジャンプ」1989年50号に読切版が掲載され、翌1990年13号から1993年33号に渡って連載された。タイトルの発案および、題字は、隆慶一郎の手による。1993年にはカセットブックが発売されている。コミックスは全18巻（集英社）。1999年には文庫版（全10巻）が、2004年から2005年にかけて完全版（徳間書店。全15巻）が刊行された。
